Hybrid club draw
Each roulette draw reveals one club-season. Take one player and move on for free, or take a second player before the game automatically draws another club.
Three meaningful rerolls
A reroll rejects a club only before you have selected anybody from it. Once you commit to a player, leaving that club is free and the reroll counter stays intact.
Evidence-backed roles
A player can only enter a primary or secondary role recorded in the source data. There is no generic adjacent-position rule and no hidden out-of-position escape hatch.
A real league world
Your Draft XI joins 19 different clubs in a double round-robin schedule. Every team plays 38 matches and the table is calculated from all 380 results.
Spoiler-free cups
Coppa Italia opponents are assigned to a fixed bracket. Eliminated teams cannot return, and future scores remain hidden until those matches are actually completed.
Reproducible randomness
Drafts, fixtures and match events use seeded random streams. Daily challenges give every player the same sequence without requiring an account or a daily deployment.

Choose the rules
Name the team, select one of five formations, then choose Classic, Blind, Timed, Timed Blind or the shared Daily Challenge.
Read the club draw
The roulette locks a club and historical season. Compare OVR, verified roles, attributes and data confidence before opening a legal pitch slot.
Control the risk
After the first pick, decide whether a second player from the same squad is worth reducing future club variety. Reject an untouched draw with one of three rerolls.
Live the season
Review attack, midfield, defence and chemistry, see the model forecast, then run a quick simulation or play through the calendar match by match.
Match-by-match
Simulate Serie A matches from kick-off to minute 90
Match-by-match mode turns the model into a visible story. A pre-match screen compares team strength and win, draw and loss probabilities. The clock then races through 90 minutes while goals, shots, saves, corners, fouls and cards enter the event feed. The score and statistics are generated from the same match seed, so the commentary cannot contradict the result.

The squad database stays the same; what changes is the information and time available for each decision. That makes a familiar historical pack feel very different across modes.

Playable archive
A smaller playable pool for a better reason
The research archive contains 116 club-seasons and 2,530 player-season records. Those numbers are not presented as playable breadth. The launch game only loads 19 packs and 433 players whose primary roles appear in at least two sourced lineups and whose squads contain enough legal candidates to complete an XI. The other archive packs remain offline research material until their positions are verified. This separation keeps the download small and prevents a missing or broad position from being silently converted into a role the source never supplied.

Independent ratings, visible methodology
OVR combines 35% club-season strength, 50% player-season contribution and 15% historical achievement after normalization. Missing attributes use role-and-era median profiles and are gameplay metadata rather than official ratings. Editorial corrections are limited to plus or minus three points and require a recorded reason. Match forecasts use an independent random stream, so checking the prediction never changes the official result.

Is Draft Serie A free?+
Yes. The full launch game is free, requires no registration and does not ask for an email address.
Can I pick more than one player from a club?+
Yes. You must take at least one player and may take a second. After the first pick you can draw the next club for free.
Why can’t every player play every position?+
Roles are hard constraints backed by lineup or roster evidence. This protects the meaning of formation choices and prevents unsupported ratings outside a player's documented role.
Are the OVR ratings official?+
No. They are independent game ratings created from the published methodology. They are not affiliated with Serie A, a club, EA Sports or any official football database.
Does the game simulate every Serie A club?+
Each season creates a 20-team world: the Draft XI plus 19 different AI-controlled clubs. Every fixture contributes to the final table.
Will my progress survive a refresh?+
Active drafts, career progress, consent and local records are stored in the browser. No personal account or remote profile is created.
What makes the Daily Challenge fair?+
The date in Europe/Rome selects the same seed for everybody. The seed fixes club draws and match randomness without revealing future results.
Where does the data come from?+
The verified launch pool uses StatsBomb Open Data lineup evidence. Archive identities and historical squads retain per-pack source and licence records.
Is this the same as Fantacalcio?+
No. It can appeal to historical fantasy-football fans, but it is a single-player Serie A draft game and season simulator: there is no auction, budget, private league or real-world weekly scoring.
